Planes for Science Olympiad
Here's a couple of pictures of us flying planes designed for the
Science Olympiad "propeller propulsion" event.

This is Katie's plane. Non-conformist that she is, she decided to do the covering
on the bottom of the wings rather the the top. The plane flies quite well, and probably
could have won the State competition if the Air handling system had been off. Best
times to date are in the 2:06 range.

Taking flight.

This is Katie and I flying with the Boeing Hawks one Saturday. I'm flying my tandem.
Although difficult to trim, this should be a good flyer. So far the best times are
in the 2:15 range.
